Welcome to the summer transfer window 2025 deadline day, and things are about to go a bit crazy as it always does.

Chelsea are very much in the mix of things today and have a few situations to sort out before the window closes at 7pm tonight.

EXCLUSIVE! Enzo Maresca furious that he’s not getting some positions he’s asked for this summer!

I mean if you think about it, there are still the situations of Raheem Sterling, Ben Chilwell, and Axel Disasi to sort out, and that’s not even taking into account that Chelsea still have a striker situation to deal with as well.

Liam Delap got injured and could well be out for longer than eight weeks at this point depending on what the scan results show up. So Chelsea need a new striker in to replace him. It looks like they have made the decision to recall striker Marc Guiu from his loan move at Sunderland as a temporary measure to replace Delap.

But then there is also Nicolas Jackson who is still a Chelsea player. But something tells me he wont be one come the end of today because why on earth would they recall Guiu from a very good loan move if Jackson is staying as well? Madness.

Chelsea could also still sign a new midfielder

Chelsea have been strongly linked with Barcelona attacking midfielder Fermin Lopez and he could still arrive at Stamford Bridge today. But who knows at this point.

Barca manager Hansi Flick was asked about it yesterday, and as you can see in the video posted on X, he replied with:

“I don’t want to talk about Fermín. When the market is over, we’ll know one hundred percent if he’ll stay. We don’t want egos because egos kill success.”

Let’s see what today brings then.
