Laura Blindkilde Brown explains the hunger Andrée Jeglertz's team has to continue our success into next season.
The young City midfielder played a crucial role in our 4-0 victory over Brighton in the FA Cup final which earnt her an Adobe Women’s FA Cup Baller of the Round award.
On the biggest stage, Blindkilde Brown delivered yet another important performance that influenced City to keep pushing despite early pressure from the Seagulls.
It inevitably helped us on to win the domestic double for the first time in our history, with her playing an equally critical role across the Barclays Women’s Super League season.
Speaking to Matchday Live after the full-time whistle, Laura explained how she found the 2025/26 season and what she hopes for the future.
“I’ve really enjoyed this season,” Blindkilde Brown began.
“I think just trying to make a name for myself in the team and trying to carry that on next year and hopefully get the same amount of game time and still try to improve because I’m still young and I’ve got so many things to work on.”

She also added praise for her fellow players at the heart of the midfield.
“But, playing in this team it helps me to improve so much,” she said.
“It helps so much playing alongside Yui [Hasegawa], Coombsy, Viv[ianne Miedema], Grace [Clinton] – all our midfielders are so talented and I think that just helps me grow so much and it really helps me develop my game.”

The 22-year-old went on to say she is hungry for more silverware after having a taste of it this season and how lifting the WSL trophy at West Ham inspired our Wembley performance.
“I think just trying to win trophies again and I think last year as well when we had Champions League we got quite far into the competition and I think we were unlucky to go out and I think just trying to go further in there and just try and win all the trophies would be great,” she added.
“It’s such a good feeling lifting the trophy and I think when we lifted the league it really made us want to lift this one as well and I think that just pushes on next year as well – we just want to go and win everything.”
