Champions League tips and predictions

17:45 - Bayer Leverkusen v Arsenal: Back Gunners to grind out win

Kevin Hatchard: Arsenal have been the most impressive team in the Champions League so far. They won all eight of their league-phase games, including a stirring success against Bayern Munich. A repeat of that clash in the final wouldn't be a huge surprise. Across those eight UCL matches, Arsenal scored 23 goals, netting at least twice in every game. In the Premier League, the North London giants have scored 33 goals from open play, and only Manchester City have netted more. The visitors are the better team by some distance here, but Bayer's ability to keep the ball for long periods should mean they aren't completely overwhelmed. I like the look of the 6/5 on offer for Arsenal to win and Under 3.5 Goals, which includes the 0-1, the 0-2, the 0-3 and the 1-2, and all four outcomes seem eminently plausible.

If you look at Leverkusen's games against other teams in the top six in the Bundesliga, four of six have stayed under the 3.5 Goals line, and Bayer lost all four of those matches.

20:00 - Real Madrid v Manchester City: Back goals and cards at 13/2

Jimmy The Punt: Since Álvaro Arbeloa took charge on January 12, his side have scored in each of the 13 games he has overseen and only kept four clean sheets.  In the Champions League, only Villarreal failed to score when hosting the Cityzens whose European away trips have seen 4/2/3/4 goals scored.

Eight of the last 11 meetings between these clubs have seen overs and both teams to score click with an average of 3.9 goals a game. At 1.65, the price of that angle is a little short for me so too is the 2.56 about over 3.5 goals with the Exchange.

Not to worry, Vinicius Junior's price to score or assist at 11/10 is worth a poke. He's had a hand in 21 goals this season in the UCL and La Liga and, without Kylian Mbappe or Jude Bellingham, he'll shoulder the majority of the attacking burden on Wednesday.

20:00 - PSG v Chelsea: Back a slow burner in Paris & 6/1 Blues Bet Builder

Paul Higham: Along with Pedro we'll add a rested Enzo Fernandez and a combination that's worked very well in his recent outings - with fouls and shots on target littering his stats sheet.

Fernandez has hit the target in eight of his last 10 games and four of six in the Champions League, while he's both given away and suffered multiple fouls in his last three outings in the competition - so he's heavily involved going both ways.

In particular it's the fouls against Fernandez which stand out - he's been fouled at least twice in all eight Champions League games so far, so 7/5 for Fernandez to be fouled twice again looks ideal.

We'll roll those three together, as three legs is the minimum to qualify for the Bet £10 Get £10 offer, but all three have serious form behind them.

Paul Higham: What Bodo/Glimt have done this season is frankly outrageous - winning four Champions League games in a row against Man City, Atletico and then two against Inter is an incredible run. And the draw has given them a chance too as they're 17/10 to make the quarter-finals with Sporting still 4/9 favourites.

The Portuguese giants must be fearing their trip to Norway though and there's not much to split them in the first leg - the hosts being 13/8 and away side 31/20. Sporting won just one away game in the group but they did have tough fixtures at Bayern, Napoli and Juventus.

Both sides should bring goals - Bodo have scored 14 in six and Sporting average over two goals a game in the UCL while they've only got on clean sheet between them in the Champions League proper so both teams to score looks a near certainty.  I'm not convinced they can get through the tie but at home with the form and confidence they'll have then why not jump on the Bodo bandwagon while we can.

Championship tips and predictions

Jack Critchley: Coventry took advantage of Ipswich's slip, with a 2-0 victory at Bristol City. The game wasn't quite as straightforward as they would have liked, with Joel Latibeaudiere's first-half sending off complicating matters. Nevertheless, when you consider that Frank Onyeka was only fit enough for the bench and Jack Rudoni was also missing, it can be considered a decent result for the Sky Blues. There have been questions over the side's ability to pick up results on the road this season, yet they have collected the joint-most points away from home (32) alongside Millwall and have now won four on the spin.

Frank Lampard will be pleased to return to the CBS, where they have dropped just five points since the September international break. Late goals have been a feature of their games, with clean sheets also being fairly infrequent lately. Nevertheless, they should have more than enough firepower to outshine a Preston side, who are showing very little fight.

PNE have been better on the road in 2026, and given the state of the pitch at Deepdale, that isn't particularly surprising. They have won just one of their last ten and appear to be settling for a mid-table finish. Paul Heckingbottom's side have netted just twice in their last four away games and this is likely to be a tough midweek mission for the Lancastrians.
