VfB Stuttgart chairman Alexander Wehrle has moved to cool speculation over Angelo Stiller, stating the club do not intend to let the midfielder leave.
“In all the time I’ve known Angelo Stiller, I’ve read something about him every few weeks. The fact is that no one has contacted me personally about him yet. And I have also never received anything in writing,” Wehrle said, speaking on Sport1’s Doppelpass.
“He is a very, very important player for us, and we have absolutely no interest in even discussing the possibility of letting Angelo Stiller leave.”
With the summer transfer window approaching, talk around Stiller’s future has intensified, including links with Juventus.
Stiller remains under contract with Stuttgart until 2028.
