Chelsea have announced another brand new summer signing just this morning as a summer of top business continues at the club.

The Men’s team are looking to do plenty of transfer business this summer and they have already been announcing a number of new arrivals, with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall being the latest arriving from Leicester City yesterday afternoon.

They have of course also landed Tosin Adarabioyo as a free agent after he left Fulham this summer. Two pretty good signings, with more to come.

The Women’s team are on a mission too, and it looks like they are set to sign England international Lucy Bronze of Barcelona as a free agent, with her contract running down at the end of this month.

But they are not stopping there and are looking to fully back their newly appointed manager, just like they are with the Men’s team as well.

Bartel joins Chelsea!

Chelsea have just announced the signed of Julia Bartel from Barcelona, as reported just now on the official club website.

The 20-year-old central midfielder has signed a contract with the club until the summer of 2027, plus a one-year option. She makes the move from Barcelona in her native Spain, who she has represented since 2019 and is a product of their Academy.

The website says Bartel is ‘a dynamic and intelligent player with excellent technical ability, Bartel has been captain for both club and country showing leadership skills at a young age. She has enjoyed plenty of success at domestic and international level during her early career.’

Speaking for the first time as a Chelsea player, Bartel commented: ‘I am very happy to be here at Chelsea. It’s one of the biggest clubs in Europe and I am very excited to be part of this club.’

Big signing this!
