Liam Rosenior was asked whether he had been made aware that his team sheet had apparently leaked ahead of the PSG game last night.

In his press conference after Chelsea’s heavy to defeat by PSG in the Champions League, Liam Rosenior was asked if he was aware that his team’s lineup had leaked before the game, and what he planned to do about it:

“No, I wasn’t aware. I’m sure we’ll get to the bottom of that if that’s the case. These things now, they happen quite a lot. We get information about our opposition. I’m more worried about the end result than the beginning of the game.”

Rosenior brushes off accusations of leaks and focuses on game

This was well dealt with by Rosenior. He could easily have used this as a bit of an off ramp to divert the conversation away from his team’s collapse, but instead he did the opposite. We really like that part of his manner in the press conferences.

There’s also no proof the lineup was leaked anyway. We predicted the lineup here at Chelsea News 100% correct before the leaks were out, and we saw multiple others doing the same in the days before the game.

It was one of the easiest lineups to pick all year, given the circumstances. We all figured that it would be Reece James in midfield and Filip Jorgensen once that had happened against Aston Villa last week.

As Rosenior says, he needs to focus on what happened in the 90 minutes before worrying about anything else.

In other news…

Rosenior was given the chance to make excuses about his team’s poor performance, but he very deliberately didn’t.
