Kenan Yildiz has emerged as a top international star at Juventus. Now, Arsenal is said to have been rebuffed with a mega-offer for the former Bayern Munich youth player.

Kenan Yildiz once failed to make the jump to the pros at FC Bayern, but the 21-year-old is now one of the most sought-after attacking players in Europe. The Turkish national team player has long been a key performer at Juventus, which has also piqued the interest of Arsenal FC.

According to information from Sport BILD, the Gunners have even made a concrete move. Reportedly, the Premier League club would be willing to put around 100 million pounds on the table for Yildiz. That amounts to a transfer fee of approximately 117 million euros.

But even this enormous sum is apparently not enough for Juventus. According to Italian media reports, the “Old Lady” has rejected the first offer from London. Officials in Turin are reportedly still firmly counting on Yildiz and do not want to let the forward go this summer.

Yildiz has developed into a top star since leaving Bayern

Arsenal is looking to further strengthen its offense. After a transfer for Vinicius Junior fell through, Yildiz is said to have come into sharper focus for the London club. The willingness to invest well over 100 million euros demonstrates just how highly valued the former Bayern youngster has become on the international transfer market.

For the Munich club, his development is truly remarkable. Yildiz was born in Regensburg and joined FC Bayern’s youth academy at the age of seven. There, he played for numerous youth teams before parting ways with the club in the summer of 2022. Instead of signing a professional contract in Munich, he opted for a free transfer to Juventus.

In hindsight, Yildiz made no secret of the fact that he did not feel sufficiently valued during his time with the German record champions. “There were a lot of problems with Bayern. I was there for eleven years, but I never felt they trusted me. There was always someone who was better than me. That’s why it was easy to leave FC Bayern,” he once told Corriere dello Sport.

Yildiz then made his breakthrough in Italy. Step by step, the technically gifted attacking player established himself at Juventus and also drew attention on the international stage. At the same time, he became a key member of the Turkish national team.

Yildiz has now made 31 international appearances for Turkey, scoring five goals and setting up four more. The former Bayern player was also part of the Turkish squad at the World Cup in the U.S., Mexico, and Canada, although the team was eliminated after the group stage.

The fact that Arsenal is now reportedly willing to pay around 117 million euros for Yildiz underscores his rapid development since leaving Munich. Juventus, however, seems unwilling to consider a sale. Even an offer well beyond the 100-million-euro mark has so far failed to sway the Italians.
