The agent of Enzo Fernandez had a chance to completely shut down any exit rumours this summer, but he didn’t really take it.

Javier Pastore, who is a former footballer now an agent looking after Fernandez, appears to have once again been asked about the future of his client after the midfielder was spotted in Madrid of all places this week, a place he admits that he loves.

Fernandez was of course just over there watching the tennis with some Chelsea team mates as they were given some time off, but it’s got tongues wagging again.

But instead of completely shutting down any rumours, Pastore sort of leaves the door open to an exit this summer still by simply ending the chat with ‘we’ll see’.

The quotes were picked up on X today, with Pastore saying:

“Real Madrid interested in Enzo? A lot of things are being said, but the truth is, nothing’s really happening.

“It’s true he’s made some comments that weren’t entirely appropriate at the time, but he didn’t say anything out of the ordinary. He simply talked about Madrid, which he really likes.

“Whenever he has a day off, he goes to Madrid because I’m there and he has friends here as well. That’s all it is, nothing more.

“His goal is to finish the year strong at Chelsea, have a good World Cup, and after that we’ll see.”

Liam Rosenior will get a lot of money from Chelsea after they sacked him, but it won’t be close to the full value of his deal. The BBC have broken it all down for us.
