Werder Bremen set to sign former HSV captain Reis | OneFootball

Multiple sources report on Friday that Werder Bremen are on the verge of signing Ludovit Reis from Club Brugge. Deichstube first reported the news that the 26-year-old is closer to a return to Germany.

According to the latest updates, the former HSV captain is already in Bremen as the club is planning to announce the move in front of fans before their friendly game against Auxerre on Saturday.

Reis left HSV last summer with a €6 million move to Club Brugge. However, injuries limited him to only 12 appearances in his first season in Belgium. The former Netherlands U21 international is now set to play in Bundesliga for the first time.

The ex-Barcelona midfielder scored 20 2. Bundesliga goals in 143 appearances for VfL Osnabrück and Hamburg. Reis played a key role at Bremen’s fierce rivals HSV as he captained the side when they won promotion with a 6-1 victory over Ulm.
