Multiple reports confirmed Werder Bremen agreed a deal to sign the USA youth international Ramiz Hamouda from Birmingham Legion FC. Fabrizio Romano reported the 18-year-old defender will sign a deal until 2031 with the Bundesliga club.

The Athletic also reported the story as they stated him turning 18 on Tuesday would make him eligible to be registered by an European club. Hamouda played for his country at the U17 World Cup this season. He also captained the U18 team in friendly games in March.

After spending some time with Sporting KC academy, he joined his current club in 2024 for whom he would then play 36 USL Championship games before the age of 18. He is expected to first join Bremen's second team in July after a few more games with the second-tier club.

The Sudanese descent could also play as a left-back in addition to his main position of center-back. Bremen are expecting big offers for 19-year-old Karim Coulibaly after his successful maiden campaign.
