Cruzeiro have announced Wesley, a Corinthians academy graduate, as their new signing this afternoon after an aborted return to the São Paulo club.

Ge.globo reports that the forward joins on a one-season loan with a purchase option at the end of the deal.

His representatives offered him to Corinthians in recent weeks after talks with Cruzeiro had advanced. The board studied a move, but initial financial terms were deemed excessive, and although Al-Nassr agreed to cover most wages in a possible loan, a registration embargo halted progress.

Corinthians must clear three transfer bans, two from FIFA and one from the CBF, totalling about R$ 21.9 million, before registering reinforcements.

Wesley joined Corinthians at under-13 and debuted for the first team in 2023, making 85 appearances and scoring seven goals.

He joined Al-Nassr in August 2024 for approximately 20 million dollars, about R$ 110 million then, plus 5 million in bonuses, played 40 games with five goals and four assists, and won the 2025/26 Saudi League. In early 2026 he was loaned to Real Sociedad, made five appearances without a goal or assist, and the option to buy was not exercised.
