According to L'Équipe, Wesley Saïd has signed for Al-Shamal for next season, agreeing a two-year deal with an option for a third. After a fine run of form for Lens in recent months, the forward has opted for Qatar.
With RC Lens currently second in the league, the 30-year-old knows he will not play for the northern club next season. His Lens contract ends in June 2026.
Saïd joined Lens in 2021 and initially struggled to establish himself, hampered by repeated muscular problems.
A change in his working methods and the arrival of Pierre Sage on the Lens bench this summer helped him string strong performances together and secure a starting place.
This season he has scored 10 goals and provided two assists in 23 Ligue 1 matches.
