All the latest news surrounding West Brom's search for a new manager
West Brom are searching for a new manager following the decision to part ways with Ryan Mason on Tuesday.
A 2-1 loss to Leicester City proved the final straw, with the Baggies struggling for form under the 34-year-old.
A record 10th loss in a row away from home sealed his fate, leaving the Championship side without a head coach for the start of the new year.
Owner Shilen Patel will surely be keen to see a permanent replacement appointed quickly, particularly with the January transfer window now open.
Here we look at all the latest news surrounding the search for a new manager at West Brom…

Russell Martin is currently out of work and has experience of gaining promotion from the Championship.
However, according to journalist Tom Collomosse, the 40-year-old has not been spoken to by West Brom amid their search for a replacement to Mason.
It’s understood that he has never held talks with the Baggies regarding becoming manager, although that could yet still change in the coming days and weeks.
Martin has been out of work since his short-lived reign in charge of Rangers came to an end earlier this season, and he has previously managed Southampton and Swansea City, guiding the former to the Premier League in 2024.

It has also been claimed by Collomosse that Michael Carrick is admired by West Brom, and the 44-year-old is still a free agent as of writing this after leaving Middlesbrough in the summer.
However, the former England international may not be available for much longer in what could be a setback for Albion.
According to The Athletic, Carrick is in the frame for a return to his former club Manchester United following their dismissal of Ruben Amorim.
The Premier League side are planning face-to-face talks with the ex-Middlesbrough boss about a return to the coaching staff alongside Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Carlos Corberan departed West Brom as manager 12 months ago, and earned a lot of credit in the first few months of his time at new club Valencia.
However, according to Marca, supporters have turned on him following recent results, urging him to resign during their 4-1 defeat to Celta Vigo last weekend.
The Spanish giants are now 18th in the table, and at risk of suffering relegation from La Liga this season.
If he were to become available, it remains to be seen whether West Brom could potentially bring the Spaniard back to the Hawthorns.

Lee Carsley has been mentioned as a potential candidate to replace Mason at West Brom, having impressed during his time in charge of the England U21 side.
According to Express & Star, the 51-year-old's name has been brought up as a possible option to take over the Championship side.
However, it remains to be seen whether he could be convinced to leave his role with the FA at this time.
Carsley has been in charge of the underage team since 2021, and has twice overseen success at the European Championship, with England winning in 2023 and 2025.

West Brom confirmed the decision to part ways with Mason on Tuesday, with Nigel Gibbs and Sam Pooley also following him out the door.
The Baggies have announced that James Morrison will step up from his role as first team coach to act as an interim manager while the search for a permanent replacement goes on.
No timeline has been given for when an appointment could be made, with the new owners seeking a third manager since taking over the club in February 2024.
Morrison’s first game back in charge as an interim head coach will come this weekend away to Swansea in the third round of the FA Cup.
