West Brom have stepped up preparations for a bank holiday double header, with returning faces in training including £3.3m signing Tammer Bany, while Karlan Grant edges closer to fitness.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, two wins and two draws in recent weeks have moved Albion four points clear of the drop zone. James Morrison still had a handful of players away on international duty over the weekend, but most of the squad trained.

Wrexham visit The Hawthorns on Friday, then Albion travel to relegation rivals Blackburn on Monday.

Injury hit Bany, who joined from Rangers more than a year ago, has made only a handful of bench appearances. He suffered a setback earlier this season, but was pictured with team-mates this week and also appeared in an Instagram clip alongside Grant.

Grant has been out since the draw at Derby earlier this year. He is back in training and is set for a mid April return.

Callum Styles has also trained with Albion despite a Hungary call-up for their international fixtures. Hungary beat Slovenia at the weekend and face Greece tonight, but Styles has not travelled and has remained with the squad.
