Leeds United can still reach 50 points with victory at West Ham at the London Stadium on Sunday’s Premier League finale. Three players are out, seven are doubtful and a key figure has returned.
Third-bottom West Ham could be relegated before the 4pm kick-off if fourth-bottom Tottenham win their game in hand at Chelsea on Tuesday. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Leeds’ safety was confirmed by Arsenal’s 1-0 win at West Ham last weekend.
Daniel Farke’s side drew 1-1 at Tottenham on Monday, then beat Brighton 1-0 on Sunday to reach 47 points and 14th.
For West Ham, Adama Traore has missed the last two matches with a quadriceps issue and was ruled out of the Newcastle trip. Goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski has not played for the first team this season due to a back problem, his only outing an under-21 FEL Trophy tie in September.
Leeds loanee Facundo Buonanotte has a hamstring injury, he missed Spurs and was ineligible against Brighton, so his availability for the finale is unclear. Right-back Jayden Bogle, also hamstring, was absent at Spurs and remained unavailable for Brighton.
Left-back Gabi Gudmundsson suffered a hamstring injury in the FA Cup semi-final defeat to Chelsea and is still out. Winger Noah Okafor has a calf issue and was also unavailable on Friday, leaving doubts for Sunday.
