Premier League outfit West Ham are closely monitoring 27-year-old Troyes striker Mama Baldé, Foot Mercato report.
The Guinea-Bissau international is playing a key part with the City Football Group-owned fourteenth-placed Ligue 1 outfit. Baldé is Troyes’ best performer this season with eight goals and three assists registered in 17 games. He joined the Aube side eighteen months ago from Dijon following their Ligue 2 relegation on a four-year deal. He’s now bound with the Patrick Kisnorbo-led side until June 2025.
According to Foot Mercato, West Ham United are looking for attacking reinforcements during this winter transfer window. Sky Sports News reported that West Ham United had offered £20m plus £5m in add-ons for FC Lorient’s Terem Moffi. But should a move fail to materialise for Ligue 1’s second-highest goalscorer this season, Baldé may just be their Plan B signing. If he were to join the London outfit, Baldé would trade a relegation-battling side for another as the Hammers are currently in eighteenth place in the Premier League table. Troyes’ number 7 is valued at around €15m.
