The Haiti international could be allowed to leave the Stadium of Light this summer.

Understandably, most of the talk around West Ham has been about potential departures following their relegation from the Premier League.

The Hammers possess a cohort of stellar talent, including Jarrod Bowen, Mateus Fernandes and Cysencio Summerville, who have all been linked with big moves away from the London Stadium.

With the Irons set to play Championship football next term for the first time in 14 years, there has not been as much hype around potential incomings, but the transfer stories are trickling in at a steady pace.

Now, the East London club have been linked with Wilson Isidor, who has an encouraging second-tier record with Sunderland and even scored against West Ham on the opening day of last season.

The Hammers already possess some superb options in attack, with Bowen, Summerville and Taty Castellanos, but with so much uncertainty around their players, the club will need to bring in reinforcements.

One player who has an uncertain future at the Stadium of Light is Isidor, who has been a bit-part player on Wearside this campaign, but he has still shown flashes of class for the Black Cats.

Now, the Haiti international could be made available for a permanent or loan move, with the Irons interested, according to ExWHUEmployee (via X).

The 25-year-old initially joined Sunderland on loan in the summer of 2024, but that move was made permanent the following January after a superb run of form in the Championship.

However, the forward has found opportunities harder to come by in the Premier League, scoring six times in 32 appearances, although most of those came from the bench, with Brian Brobbey the Wearsiders' prime attacking option.

Why Wilson Isidor would be an excellent signing for West Ham this summer

Sunderland supporters would be gutted to see Isidor leave the club, and that tells you everything you need to know about his impact in the North East.

The Haitian has thrown himself into the club and the area and has bought into the club's successful project that has seen them rise from League One to the Europa League.

In the Championship, Isidor's finishing was a class above, and his showreel highlights that he can score a variety of goals.

What makes him so lethal at that level is his ability in one-on-one situations, as he has the pace and the temperament to find the net regardless of the pressure on his shoulders.

His 12 goals in the 2024/25 Championship season are not anything to write home about, but he endured a tough end to the campaign that coincided with Sunderland's woeful run of form.

Whether it be a loan or a permanent move, any deal to bring Isidor to the Championship would be a good one, as he is certainly above that level, but now it is up to the Black Cats what to do with a player they adore.
