West Ham monitoring Flamengo midfielder Evertton Araújo | OneFootball

According to Coluna Do Fla, West Ham are tracking Flamengo midfielder Evertton Araújo after identifying the 22-year-old through scouting, with the English club placing his value at around €12 million, roughly R$ 74 million.

The interest arose while Flamengo held lengthy talks with the Premier League side over Lucas Paquetá, during which West Ham checked on Araújo’s situation.

Flamengo rate the player significantly higher and consider him to have European market potential, with no intention of negotiating his exit at this moment.

Filipe Luís values Araújo and does not want to release him now. The midfielder’s contract runs until December 2028.

In the current window, a €5 million bid, about R$ 30 million, from Grêmio was turned down.

Flamengo view Araújo as important cover for a congested calendar and plan to increase his minutes. He remains available for Wednesday 04 against Internacional, the second round of the Brasileirão at the Maracanã, starting 19:00 Brasília time.
