On Tuesday it was reported by L’Équipe that West Ham had a €35 million bid for OGC Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo (24) rejected, with the total falling short of what Les Aiglons believe their French international is worth.

However, according to Foot Mercato, this was the third bid that West Ham had made in their attempt to convince Nice to part with the Manchester United target. The French outlet writes that West Ham tried to do a swap deal for Todibo, with the club first offering Kurt Zouma (29) plus a fee, and then Nayef Aguerd (28) plus a fee.

Nice have rejected all the proposals that West Ham have so far sent them with neither the players nor the amount on offer tempting them to part with a centre-back that they have accepted will be leaving this summer.

Despite Todibo being a target for Manchester United, it will be impossible for the defender to join them from Nice before the 1st of July 2025 with transfers between Nice and Manchester United blocked by UEFA until that date.
