West Ham midfielder Pablo Fornals netted his first Spain goal in his full debut against Kosovo.
The Spaniards are now in a good position to seal automatic qualification for the 2022 World Cup, winning 2-0 away from home on Wednesday.
They are now clear at the top of Group B with 13 points from the first six matches.
Luis Enrique's team had to work hard in Kosovo, but goals from Fornals and Ferran Torres of Manchester City sealed the points.
Fornals, who has been with West Ham since 2019, continued his meteoric rise over the past 12 months this international break.
He previously helped Spain's Under-23 side win the European Championships in the summer.
