West Ham expect to be without Tomáš Souček for tomorrow night's Carabao Cup trip to Saints, according to Daily Echo.

The midfielder is recovering from ankle ligament damage picked up with Czechia at the World Cup. Since joining from Slavia Prague in January 2020 he has been a mainstay, with 284 appearances.

Striker Pablo Felipe could also miss out, having been left out of the matchday squad for Saturday's 2-1 loss at Charlton Athletic.

Nuno Espirito Santo's side are expected to have winger Keiber Lamadrid back, after he returned to the bench at the weekend.

Former Saints captain and academy graduate James Ward-Prowse could feature at St Mary's as an opponent for the first time. He is yet to start this season for the Hammers, but came off the bench in their Carabao Cup win over Portsmouth and league draw at Burnley.

Kyle Walker-Peters, another former favourite on the south coast, has started all three of West Ham's matches this season and could be involved.
