WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Hammers this afternoon.
Skinner was appointed West Ham United boss in summer 2023. The club ended the 2023/2024 campaign in 11th place in what was a season of transition. There has been major progress made this term and the East Londoners could yet gate-crash the top half of the Barclays Women’s Super League table.
With Skinner at the helm, West Ham United have become one of the strongest sides in the division on their own turf while they have obtained a licence to thrill with goals flowing throughout the team.
The future looks very bright for The Hammers and the club have therefore moved to retain their manager’s services for another year.
After signing on again with West Ham United, Skinner said “I’m delighted to be extending my contract at West Ham United. We’ve made huge progress on and off the pitch over the last 18 months, which has been a collective effort from everyone at the Club. We have a fantastic group of players and staff, an incredibly supportive Board and a passionate, loyal fanbase that have all contributed to this growth.
“I believe we now have the foundations in place to keep developing and improving, and I’m really excited to be given the opportunity to keep moving this team forwards.”
West Ham United are next in action on Sunday when they play host to Aston Villa at The Chigwell Construction Stadium.
