West Ham United could sever ties with Jean-Clair Todibo in the January transfer window.

That is according to SportMediaSet, which has reported that Juventus are interested in signing Todibo in the final days of the January window.

However, the London club would want an obligation clause of €40 million (£33.47 million) in any deal.

SportMediaSet has claimed that is not a deal that Juventus are willing to accept.

West Ham signed Todibo from French club Nice in the summer of 2025 on an initial season-long loan deal with an obligation to make the move permanent for £34.22 million in 2025 (BBC Sport).

Interestingly, Juventus were reportedly interested in the defender at the time, but West Ham won the race for the signature of the Frenchman.

View: West Ham United should not sell Jean-Clair Todibo in January

While Todibo has not been particularly great for West Ham this season, the London club should not get rid of him in the January transfer window.

The Hammers need to keep players such as Todibo in the squad to give head coach Graham Potter options.

Todibo is still only 25, and his best is yet to come. Although the defender has not been great in the past few months, he could still come good.

The Frenchman has made eight starts and seven substitute appearances in the Premier League and has made two appearances in the Carabao Cup for West Ham so far this season.

The Hammers are 14th in the Premier League table at the moment with 27 points from 23 matches.

West Ham are 11 points above the relegation zone and are 14 points behind fourth-placed and defending Premier League champions Manchester City.

The Hammers will return to action next Monday evening when they take on Chelsea away from home at Stamford Bridge in London in the Premier League.
