West Ham United beat Derby County 3-0 at the London Stadium to rise from 12th to eighth in the Championship.

In the sixth minute, Joel Piroe tapped in from close range after Valentín Castellanos' headed pass.

Jacob Zetterström kept Derby in the game with smart saves from Jarrod Bowen, but the Hammers continued to threaten.

After the restart, substitute Edvin Austbø broke away and finished low to the bottom left (87.). Mohamadou Kanté then sealed it in second half stoppage time with a right-footed strike from outside the box after Austbø's assist.

The Hammers registered 20 attempts with seven on target. Derby mustered five attempts and failed to hit the target.

The result lifts the Hammers to eighth. Derby drop from 16th to 20th. Next, the Hammers visit Bolton Wanderers. Derby host West Bromwich Albion.
