West Ham United thrashed Wrexham 6-0 on Friday night at the London Stadium to rise from 12th to top of the Championship and extend a four-match league winning run.

Jarrod Bowen opened the scoring in the 28th minute, turning in Morato's cross.

Joel Piroe swept in from Valentin Castellanos' pass (37.). After the restart, Konstantinos Mavropanos glanced in Bowen's corner (48.).

Following Joel Veltman's injury, substitute Kyle Walker-Peters arrived and created two: first for Castellanos' low finish (63.), then for Manor Solomon to curl home late (82.). Between those, Mohamadou Kanté thumped in from Solomon's through ball (76.).

Mads Hermansen kept a clean sheet as the Hammers restricted Wrexham to one effort on target.

The Hammers registered 19 attempts with nine on target and 52.9% possession. Wrexham mustered eight attempts and six corners, but only one tested the goalkeeper.

Bowen is now on four league goals, third in the Championship scoring chart.

Next, the Hammers host Fulham in the EFL Cup. Wrexham host Southampton in the Championship.
