A recent report from the Standard has stated that West Ham United have been looking into the winter transfer market for a striker, and they have shortlisted Rodrigo Muniz as the one to sign in January. They have been keeping tabs on the 23-year-old Fulham striker for quite some time, but the Hammers will need to pay a big amount in order to bring the player in January.
Muniz was signed by Fulham from Fralmengo in the summer transfer window of 2021. The player has spent his youth at Flamenho, and since moving to Fulham, he has had a mixed time in English football. Muniz has not been a consistent presence in the Fulkham team and was also loaned to Middlesbrough.
The player would have thought that he would have been the starting centre-forward for the English club by now. However, Raul Jimenez has replaced him in that spot this season. Despite his inconsistent presence in the lineup, he has quite a number of suitors in the transfer market. West Ham United are at the top of the list of clubs that want to sign Muniz in the winter transfer window.

Michail Antonio, Niclas Fullkrug, and Jarrod Bowen will be on the sidelines for the Hammers for a long time. Danny Ings is the only natural striker available to the club, and hence they are looking to sign a striker in this winter transfer window. Therefore, West Ham United have felt that Muniz will be the right kind of profile that they need in the club for the rest of the season.
Muniz has scored three goals in 21 matches so far in the Premier League 2024/2025 season. Overall, his goals scored per 90 minutes is 0.44. Moreover, the Fulham striker’s total G/A (goals + assists) is four for this season, and his goal involvement equates to 0.58 per 90 minutes. This puts Rodrigo Muniz’s npxG output at 3.55, which puts him in the top 96 percentile of Premier League players.
Muniz would want a move to West Ham United and perform for the Hammers to prove to Fulham that he deserved to start as the centre-forward in the lineup. The Hammers were even interested in him when Julen Lopetegui was the manager of the club. However, the club needs to pay a good amount in order to sign the striker.
