The group was dominated by Sweden, who beat Germany 4-1 to secure top spot and a place in the quarter-finals. Germany still progressed in second place, but Poland and Denmark will head home.
In the Danish team's last match, Juventus striker Amalie Vangsgaard came on for the final ten minutes, when they were already 3-1 down. They made it 3-2 and had hopes of getting a point, but it was not to be.
On Sunday, July 13, it will be the turn of the Group D sides to play their final matches before the knockouts.
Pauline Peyraud-Magnin's France, with a perfect record in the group so far, will take on Danielle de Jong's Netherlands, who are chasing points to qualify for the knockout stages. England will face Wales, with there being a chance that three teams will end the group stage on six points each.
