Luis Enrique has said Paris Saint-Germain can cement their status as 'one of the best teams in the world' with back-to-back Champions League wins.
Paris Saint-Germain faceArsenal in the Champions League final tomorrow evening, aiming to defend the title.
Only one side, Real Madrid, has ever defended the trophy in theChampions League era and Enrique has admitted that is a source of motivation for his team.
The Spaniard's side conquered Europe for the first time last season, but Enrique is aware of the threat Arsenal pose to his side's chances.
"It is a source of motivation, we've already gone down as one of the best teams in the world and in Europe.
"Arsenal deserve to be in the Champions League final and deserve to have won the Premier League. They're a great team with great players."
Enrique shares roots in Barcelona with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, with the two having crossed paths during their respective playing careers in Catalonia.
Arteta has been full of praise for his compatriot in the build-up, hailing Enrique as a 'reference' for his own coaching career.
"He has always been a reference since he was a player because he was a very special player," Arteta said at hispre-match press conference.
"Then, when he became a coach, and if you look at his journey when he left Spain and went abroad and came back, what he has done, in particular what he has done with this PSG club and team, you can see his fingerprints all over it."
