Leon Balogun has stated that Rangers star Kieran Dowell is training fantastically and revealed that everyone in the Gers squad talks about how well he is performing.
The 26-year-old attacking midfielder struggled initially to get into Rangers’ matchday squad after his arrival from Norwich City in the summer.
Dowell has started the last two league games for Rangers and scored a goal against Motherwell on Sunday, turning some heads with his performance.
Balogun, who played with the midfielder during his time at Wigan Athletic, stated that Dowell deserves credit for his recent performances and added that everyone in the squad talks about how well he is performing.
The Rangers star also stressed that Dowell is fantastic on the training ground and stated that he is happy for the midfielder as he has managed to come through a difficult spell.
When asked about Dowell’s performances, Balogun told Rangers TV: “For me, I am super, super happy for Kieran because he deserves it, and I think all the boys will agree.
“He has been training fantastic all the time and the boys have been speaking about his performances in training in the dressing room.
“And I am happy that, coming from a difficult spell, he has been able to put in these performances.”
Rangers are set to welcome Ross County on Wednesday to Ibrox and Dowell will be hoping to continue his good form against Derek Adams’ side.
