Weymouth Wales, Club Franciscain qualify to Semifinals in CFU Club Shield

MIAMI – The 2025 CFU Club Shield concluded its Group Stage on Tuesday with Weymouth Wales and Club Franciscain claiming the final Semifinal spots in the quest to find the tournament’s next champion and award two berths to the 2025 Concacaf Caribbean Cup.
Group C
Police FC 6, SCSA Eagles 1
Police FC earned a 6-1 win over SCSA Eagles in Group C at Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
Joshua Sitney scored in the 25’ to open the proceedings. Kadeem Hutchinson extended the lead in the 33’.
Kareem Freitas added one for the local side in the 54’, with Mickaeel Jem Gordon adding the fourth in the 63’.
Khalid Tavernier took one back for SCSA Eagles in the 69’.
Joevin Jones collected his brace with goals in the 74’ and 82’ to extend the lead for the Trinidad and Tobago side.
SV Transvaal 0, All Saints United FC 0
SV Transvaal and All Saints United FC played to a scoreless draw in Group C at Larry Gomes Stadium in Arima, Trinidad and Tobago.
Both sides concluded their campaigns with a 1-1-0 record to finish second and third in the group, respectively, missing their opportunity to claim a spot in the Knockout Round.
Weymouth Wales 8, Wolues FC 0
Weymouth Wales took an 8-nil win over Wolues FC to win Group C at Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva, Trinidad and Tobago.
Kemar Headley opened the scoring in the 15’. Shaquille Stewart extended the lead in the 34’ and Haden Holligan added a third in the 45’+2’.
Holligan completed his brace in the 47’, with Stewart earning his double in the 70’.
Andre Applewhaite also collected a brace with penalty conversions in the 82’ and 88’.
Armando Lasley added an eighth in the 90’ to put the bow on the semifinals ticket.
Group D
Arnett Gardens 1, AC Port of Spain 4
AC Port of Spain earned a 4-1 win over Arnett Gardens, as the latter’s title defense came to an end, in Group D at Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
Shackiel Henry opened the scoring in the 24’ to place Port of Spain in front. Jean-Heim McFee, who assisted on the first goal helped generate an own goal from Joel Nathaniel Jones in the 65’.
Jones rectified his error by striking from long range in the 77 to cut the deficit for the Jamaican side. Henry restored the two-goal advantage one minute later.
Michael Chavez put a bow on the victory with the last goal of the match in the 90’+3’.
Club Franciscain 1, Scholars International FC 0
Club Franciscain won 1-nil against Scholars International FC to finish first in Group D at Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva, Trinidad and Tobago.
Attelly Olivier struck the lone goal of the match in the 58’, connecting on a service from Mathis Priam.
Dublanc FC 2, Doc's United 1
Dublanc FC closed its campaign with a 2-1 win against Doc's United in Group D at Larry Gomes Stadium in Arima, Trinidad and Tobago.
Briel Thomas struck the go-ahead goal in the 54’. McCorney Royer extended the lead in the 73’.
Jermaine Ricketts scored in the 79’ to cut the deficit as Doc’s United's comeback fell short.
