Corinthians can all but secure first place in the Brasileirão Feminino by beating Internacional in Saturday’s final round of the first phase.
According to Meu Timao, a win would practically guarantee top spot. Corinthians have 38 points, the same as São Paulo, and a seven-goal cushion on goal difference, the second tie-breaker after number of wins. São Paulo face Mixto, 14th, and would need a heavy win to overturn that swing if both teams take three points.
If Corinthians draw or lose and São Paulo win, São Paulo finish first. Palmeiras can also reach 38, but cannot equal the number of wins held by Corinthians and São Paulo, so they are out of the race.
Kick-off at Fazendinha is 18:00. Corinthians have been assured of a knockout place since round 14. They are unbeaten in five, beating Mixto 4-1, Vitória 4-0, Flamengo 1-0 and Santos 4-1, and drawing 1-1 with Bahia.
Points continue to accumulate in the knockout phase under the same rules, which can influence home advantage later. In 2025 Cruzeiro topped the first phase with 36 and Corinthians were second with 34. By the end of the semi-finals Corinthians had 44 to Cruzeiro’s 43, earning the second leg at Neo Química Arena, and they lifted a seventh national title.
Internacional sit tenth on 24 points and still hope to reach the quarter-finals. The top eight advance and every round is played over two legs. As it stands, Corinthians would face Fluminense in the last eight.
