Shortly after the final whistle at the Martinez Valero, the 18 year old Barcelona winger posted photo of Elche defender Hector Fort a former La Masia talent accompanied by three emojis.

Spanish outlet AS described the post as "another provocation" from Yamal who has repeatedly inflamed tensions between the two rivals this season.

The gesture was interpreted as clear celebration of Madrid’s slip and nod to Fort’s role in stopping the league leaders.

The reaction comes just weeks after the fiery Clasico at the Santiago Bernabeu where Barcelona lost 2-1 and Yamal found himself at the centre of controversy.

Before that match, he openly criticised Real Madrid, saying the club "always steals & then complains about referees" adding that Barca would win the game.
