Pisilli replaced an exhausted Sandro Tonali at minute 80, and according to Rai pitchside reporter Tiziana Alla, his compatriot Dimarco encouraged him before entering the field.

It was reported that Dimarco, who had previously been subbed off, stood up from the bench to ‘strongly’ hug the young Roma midfielder.

“Come on, you are so strong; you will make it,” Dimarco told Pisilli.

The latter has recently scored his first Roma goal in Serie A, contributing to a 2-1 win over Venezia.
