The visuals of Vinicius Jr. being held back by his teammates after being shown a red card against Valencia at Mestalla went viral, but not many delved deeper into what unfolded on the night.
On camera, the player was seen clearly hitting the Valencia goalkeeper with the ball nowhere in sight and it was enough for the referee Cesar Soto Grado to send Vinicius off.
In fact, the player was expected to face up to 12 games out for his violent conduct but it now seems he will only miss two games after the final ruling.
As relayed by El Chiringuito TV, the entire event actually stemmed from none other than Stole Dimitrievski who was pouncing on every opportunity he could to sledge Vinicius.

It all began in the 55th minute when Real Madrid had a penalty awarded. Jude Bellingham stepped up and hit the woodwork, but it was what the goalkeeper said at that time that fuelled the feud.
“Who’s going to take it?,” he asked mockingly to the Real Madrid winger.
Dimitrievski then attempted to take it a step further, suggesting openly to Vinicius that he should step up for the penalty. “You take it,” he said.
To make matters worse, he got under the winger’s skin by jeering him for not taking the spot-kick. “You don’t dare to take it,” he said.
It was from that moment that Vinicius and the goalkeeper got into regular feuds and the distaste heightened. A mere 23 minutes later, he was sent off for physically hitting Dimitrievski, again not before the goalkeeper himself handled the player.
It is a relief for Real Madrid that the winger’s suspension does not spill over to the Spanish Super Cup and that he will be available this week despite facing a sanction in La Liga. For other clubs including Barcelona, however, it has become a matter of controversy.
