Gary Rowett has 14 games to save Leicester City, so an immediate impact is essential.
LeicesterMercury.co.uk notes that 50 points is usually the Championship survival mark, leaving City needing 18 over the next couple of months.
In 2014 at Birmingham, he inherited a side 23rd after an 8-0 defeat. A draw at third-placed Wolves and a win over leaders Watford set the tone, with seven wins, six clean sheets and 26 points from his first 14. Replicate that and City would be comfortable.
At Derby, his opening 14 spanned two seasons, keeping a mid-table team steady before they later surged to the play-offs. That run yielded 22 points, a total that should suffice if matched at the King Power Stadium.
Stoke was his only start to a season and his least effective, 17 points from 14. He failed to win his first four, endured a 3-0 loss to Wigan and was gone by winter. A similar return might not quite be enough.
Millwall brought a flying start, just two defeats and 26 points from 14 to lift them firmly into the top half. He began with a 2-0 win over Stoke, something City will hope to mirror this weekend.
At Oxford, he took over a team 23rd and winless in eight, then won three straight and went eight unbeaten. That stretch formed 19 points across his first 14, which may just about be enough for City.
