Ipswich Town have put Marcelino Nunez on the front of the programme for their fixture against Norwich City.
Ipswich Town host Norwich City on Sunday hoping to secure their first win in the derby in 16 years.
The East Anglian rivalry is always feisty, and the upcoming fixture will have added spice after midfielder Marcelino Nunez crossed the divide in the summer transfer window.
The Chile international, who actually scored the winner for Norwich the last time the two teams met, decided to leave for Portman Road in a deal worth an initial £7.5m, and it understandably angered the Canaries fans.
So, the 25-year-old is sure to get stick from the away fans that make the trip, and you can be sure that Ipswich supporters will be lording it over their rivals that they managed to poach a key player from them this summer.
And, the club have got in on it, as they took to social media to reveal the pre-match programme for the game - with Nunez on the front cover holding the Ipswich badge.
As you would expect, this became a talking point among the fans, with the Ipswich supporters loving the mischievous post from the club…
Another Tractor Boys fan enjoyed it, and felt it was the obvious choice for the club given the fallout from the transfer just a matter of months ago.
Unsurprisingly, this also found its way to Norwich fans on social media, and it's fair to say they weren't too happy, as one questioned why the club would do it, as well as stating that Nunez isn't even sure to be in Kieran McKenna's XI at kick-off.
Meanwhile, one Norwich supporter managed to fire back at Ipswich, as he was quick to point out that Nunez has experience of winning the derby in a yellow shirt.
Of course, this is always a big game anyway, as the two clubs have a fierce rivalry, and Ipswich are desperate to end Norwich's dominance in this fixture in the modern era.
Yet, when Nunez made the decision to swap Norwich for Ipswich, it was always going to create headlines, as it was a really controversial switch that angered many connected to the Carrow Road outfit.
So, it will give the game an extra edge, and it will be interesting to see whether McKenna does pick Nunez given the quality options he has.
This post was always going to go down well with the Ipswich fans, and it has wound up some Norwich supporters, but now all attention is on the game, which is significant for many reasons.
