The Gers' chairman has spoken out on the German's future.
As Celtic and Hearts played out a final-day title classic for the ages, there would have been a sense of what might have been for Rangers as they dismantled Falkirk.
Danny Rohl's side romped to a 5-2 victory on Saturday afternoon but finished 10 points behind eventual champions Celtic, while they were also eight points off runners-up Hearts.
The former Sheffield Wednesday boss took over at Ibrox in late October following Russell Martin's catastrophic reign, and while things certainly improved for the Gers, there was a twinge of disappointment as their title bid crumbled in the final weeks of the season.
Given the hefty expectations at the Glasgow club, there has been significant speculation around Rohl's future and whether he is the right man to lead the club forward, but here is the latest on the German's situation.
It has been the most unpredictable campaign for some time in the Scottish Premiership, but still, one of the giants managed to find a way to silverware despite an under-par season.
Rangers supporters will be gutted that it was not their side, but given the damage done by Martin at the start of the season, it is unsurprising that Rohl failed to mount a lasting title charge.
With the summer fast approaching, now would be the perfect time for the Bears or any club, for that matter, to change managers, but it seems that they will be doing no such thing.
That is because Rangers chairman Andrew Cavenagh has confirmed that Rohl will be the man to lead the Glaswegians into the 2026-27 campaign.
"As we look to next year, Danny is our coach," Cavenagh told Rangers Review. "We believe that Danny gives us the best chance to win the league next year.
"We believe that there are two key elements that he needs to succeed, and that would be a revamped squad, which is probably the most important thing, and a pre-season.
"Danny obviously arrived mid-season. In terms of revamping the squad, we look at our squad and say we have a bunch of good players. We have a good squad, and we've proven that in fits and spurts throughout the season.
"We think Danny is a really good coach and we've seen that throughout the year. He's not perfect. But when you think about what it takes to win, we think the most important change that we need to make is the squad and with an improved squad, we think Danny will bring titles."

Rohl departed Sheffield Wednesday in late July last year with the club in crisis under former chairman Dejphon Chansiri.
Since then, the Owls' season spiralled into nothingness after a string of issues, including a points deduction, leading them to a last-placed finish on zero points.
However, since David Storch's takeover at the club, Wednesday supporters now have every reason to be optimistic as they prepare to enter the 2026-27 League One campaign in a healthy financial position without a points deficit.
With that in mind, there is reason for fans to believe again, and many would welcome the return of Rohl to Hillsborough given his clear admiration for the club and the magic he worked to keep them in the Championship the season before.
Before the 37-year-old left the South Yorkshire club, there was constant speculation around his future, and he remained at the club for longer than many expected.
In September, the German opened up on his stint at the club for the first time and understandably vented on the situation created by Chansiri, which led to sleepless nights.
However, in his departing statement in July, he shared his love for Sheffield Wednesday as a club that he clearly holds dear.
"I take so many special moments away with me that will remain in my heart," Rohl said.
Clearly, much would need to happen for Rohl to return to Wednesday: the Owls would need to return to the Championship, while he would have to leave Rangers one way or another.
If those two things were to transpire, then the realistic thought of the German returning would be entertained, but for now, each should focus on delivering a successful season after disastrous ones on either side of the border.
