After a deal was agreed last week, Tiago Djalo is finally ready to land in Italy and complete his move to Juventus.
The 23-year-old Portuguese centre back will join the Old Lady from Lille in a definitive transfer worth around €3-3.5m plus a similar amount in add-ons, and a 10% future resale clause. He’ll sign a four-and-a-half-year contract with the Bianconeri and stay in Turin, not leaving on loan.
Due to issues with the liquidity index, Juventus were unable to complete the deal for Djalo until they sold a player. Filippo Ranocchia’s move to Palermo was completed this week, allowing them to proceed for the Portuguese defender.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Djalo will land in Turin on Sunday before undergoing his pre-transfer medicals with Juventus on Monday. Should everything go to plan, he’ll then sign his contract and complete the move from Lille.
The 23-year-old has not seen any action since April of last year, when he suffered a cruciate ligament injury. He’s almost ready to return now and will complete his recovery with the Bianconeri.
