Brazil’s 2026 transfer window is shut, with new registrations only possible under specific exceptions until the first window of 2027.
According to Coluna Do Fla, the CBF’s second registration period ran from 20 July to 11 September, after a first window from five January to three March. Domestic-only exceptions applied from four to 27 March and, for Série A, from nine to 17 July.
Clubs can no longer register players from other teams. Free agents whose contracts ended before the deadline may still be registered, but anyone terminating a deal now must wait for the next window.
The Brasileirão adds a further limit, a player who makes a 13th appearance for one Série A side in 2026 cannot play for another club in this edition.
Flamengo used the final days, announcing Anthony Valencia and Joaquín Freitas on one September on contracts to 2031. The club paid about five million euros for 100% of Valencia’s rights and seven million dollars plus two million in add-ons for Freitas, retaining 80%.
Both were presented on four September at Ninho do Urubu, the Libertadores quarter-final registration deadline, and Erick Pulgar extended to 2029. A proposed sale of Gonzalo Plata to Dynamo Moscow collapsed on one September after medical parameters were not met, and he remained at Flamengo on six September.
The CBF will set 2027 window dates in the next season calendar. For now, squads are set for the run-in, with the Brasileirão ending two December and the Libertadores final 28 November.
