The close of the 2024 summer transfer window is almost upon us.

Business officially began on Friday, June 14 and it has been a fascinating two-and-a-half months in the market.

Clubs now have until 11pm BST on Friday, August 30 to complete their deals.

The relatively early end date has been chosen to ensure transfer deadline day does not fall on a weekend but any shortfall will be made up with some extra days in the January transfer window.

The 2025 winter market will commence on Wednesday, January 1 and run until 11pm on Monday, February 3.

Talks between the Premier League, LaLiga, Ligue 1, Bundesliga and Serie A have led to an agreement on all five leagues closing their transfer windows on the same date.

Fans can look forward to a hectic summer of spending, particular in the English top flight which has historically topped the charts in terms of financial output by a considerable degree.
