The first move of the upcoming window has already been completed, with highly-rated Signe Gaupset reuniting with Martin Ho at Tottenham.
Below, we have the information on the upcoming January transfer window and name some players who could be on the move.
The Women’s Super League winter window will open on Friday, January 2nd.
Teams will have until 7pm GMT on Tuesday, February 3rd, to make their moves for the second half of the campaign.
A host of players from Scandinavia are likely to follow Signe Gaupset’s move to Tottenham, by joining WSL clubs.
Leagues in Sweden and Norway have recently finished and a number of players have been linked with top clubs.
Arsenal are reportedly looking to sign Swedish right-back Smilla Holmberg from Hammarby, as competition to Emily Fox.
Tottenham are interested in signing former Manchester City player Julie Blakstad, who also plays for Hammarby.
Manchester United are after Swedish centre-back Hanna Lundkvist, who is a free agent after leaving the San Diego Wave in the NWLS.
The Red Devils are also interested in Lea Schuller who was in tears after Bayern Munich’s recent game.
Arsenal have confirmed they are after a goalkeeper, while there are questions about the future of Jenna Nighswonger who has struggled for minutes since joining the Gunners in January.
Clubs towards the bottom of the league are also expected to be on the hunt for players. Liverpool are close to signing Alice Bergstrom from BK Hacken, according to reports.
There is also WSL interest in Trinity Rodman, but the USWNT star could sign a new contract with the Washington Spirit.
