‘When they call…’ – Man City star hints at interest in Real Madrid move | OneFootball

Manchester City star Rodri has this week dropped a fresh hint regarding his interest in a future return to La Liga, with Real Madrid.

Midfielder Rodri, for his part, has of course been tipped for a potential Real switch on a number of occasions over recent months.

Amid suggestions that Los Blancos are on the lookout for a much-needed replacement for Toni Kroos, the 28-year-old – currently sidelined long-term – has been named as a leading candidate.

Speaking during an appearance on El Larguero this week, it therefore came as little surprise when the alleged interest of the Spanish champions in his signature was put to Rodri once more.

And, in his response, the Ballon d’Or holder did not exactly play as much down…

Instead, Rodri took advantage of the opportunity to admit that he would have little choice but ‘to listen’ to any potential offer on the part of Real:

“When Real Madrid call you, the best club in history and the most successful… it makes you proud and you always have to listen. It’s obvious. You always have to pay attention.”
