An insight into the timeline for La Liga giants Real Madrid to unveil Xabi Alonso as the club’s new manager has on Thursday been provided.

The name of tactician Alonso has of course dominated the headlines in Spain over recent weeks.

This comes after the former midfielder finally made official his decision to depart Bayer Leverkusen at the end of the season.
