FC Bayern’s players were once again among the best in the world at the 69th Ballon d’Or awards ceremony in Paris on Monday night. Harry Kane and Michael Olise were ranked 13th and 30th respectively in the men’s vote, which was won by Ousmane Dembele of Paris Saint-Germain ahead of Lamine Yamal and Vitinha.
The 2025 Women’s Ballon d’Or went to Barcelona’s Aitana Bonmati, finishing ahead of Arsenal duo Mariona Caldentey and Alessia Russo. Klara Bühl and Pernille Harder came 19th and 20th respectively after helping FC Bayern Women to a historic domestic double.
Among the other awards from France Football was the Gerd Müller Trophy, named after the legendary Bayern striker and given to the world’s top goalscorer for club and country. After Kane won the award last year, the 2025 edition went to Viktor Gyokeres of Sporting Lisbon and now Arsenal. The Kopa Trophy for best young player went to Barcelona’s Yamal, with the Yashin Trophy for best goalkeeper to Gianluigi Donnarumma, now of Manchester City. His former team PSG claimed the title of Club of the Year, with their coach Luis Enrique taking home the Johan Cruyff Trophy as world’s best coach in men’s football.
Champions League winners Arsenal won the Women’s Club of the Year crown, with England’s Sarina Wiegman earning the Johan Cruyff Trophy for best coach. Vicky Lopez of Barcelona was given the Kopa Trophy and Hannah Hampton of England and Chelsea won the Yashin Trophy. Barcelona’s Ewa Pajor took the Gerd Müller Trophy.
FC Bayern would like to congratulate all winners on their awards!
