As the calendar turns to 2026, clubs across Brazil eye chances to end trophy droughts that in some cases exceed two decades.
According to Globo.com, the standout case in Série A is Vasco. The club saw a bid to reclaim the Copa do Brasil slip away, 14 years on from the 2011 triumph, so the wait rolls into 2026 and the last piece of silverware remains the 2016 Campeonato Carioca.
Série B will feature Juventude after 2025 relegation from Série A. The Gaúcho club have not won since 2012, when they lifted the Taça Hélio Dourado, now the Taça FGF.
In Série C, Inter de Limeira carry the longest barren run. The Leão Paulista have gone 21 years without a trophy, last celebrating the 2004 Campeonato Paulista Série A2.
The overview spans state, regional, national and international competitions, and 2026 offers another chance for supporters to see long waits finally challenged.
