Arsenal welcomed Brentford at the Emirates Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Gunners made a quick start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 11th minute when Mikel Merino found the back of the net. Mikel Arteta’s men went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.

Bukayo Saka killed the game off in injury time when he got his name on the scoresheet. The contest ended with the Gunners earning a solid 2-0 win in front of the home fans.

Raya didn’t have a save to make in the game and secured an easy clean sheet at the Emirates tonight.

RB: Ben White – 8.5/10

He performed his defensive duties well and made two good chances in the final third. White has got an assist to show for his efforts.

CB: Cristhian Mosquera – 7/10

Mosquera kept things solid at the back but had to be replaced before the half-time break.

CB: Piero Hincapie – 7.5/10

He gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the field and was good on the ball.

LB: Riccardo Calafiori – 8/10

He was a positive influence at both ends of the field.

CM: Martin Odegaard – 7/10

Odegaard engineered some inviting chances for others around him, but there was no goal for him.

He anchored the midfield well but lacked quality in the final third.
