Arsenal will entertain Atletico Madrid at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night as they look to secure a victory at home in the UEFA Champions League. The Gunners managed to earn a narrow 1-0 win over Fulham in the London derby last weekend, which should keep them in good spirits going into this clash.

Mikel Arteta will stick with his favoured 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make some changes to his first team for this game. Ben White, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Gabriel Martinelli could all play from the start of this contest.

Defence

David Raya will function in between the sticks for the Gunners after keeping a clean sheet in his last outing. William Saliba will continue to operate alongside Gabriel at the centre of Arsenal’s defence as they look to keep things solid at the back during the 90 minutes.

Ben White will fill in as the right-back, while Myles Lewis-Skelly hopes to impress on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will try to go forward and express themselves in the opponent’s half at every chance they get.

Jurrien Timber and Riccardo Calafiori will provide cover for the full-back positions on the bench.

Midfield

Eberechi Eze, Martin Zubimendi and Declan Rice will make up Arsenal‘s midfield. Their main focus would be to establish their superiority over the opposition at the centre of the park.

Christian Norgaard and Mikel Merino will have to be content with a place on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the second half if required.

Attack

Gabriel Martinelli will try to prove his worth as the left-winger, while Bukayo Saka looks to give a good account of himself on the right flank. Both of them would have to be at their best if Arsenal are to secure a convincing win in midweek.

Viktor Gyokeres will lead the charge for the North London club up top. He failed to score against Fulham, so this game would be a good chance for him to get his name on the scoresheet.

Leandro Trossard and Max Dowman will make up the numbers on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if the Gunners are in need of a goal by then.
