Manchester City could face massive sanctions after reports last week that an independent panel upheld 114 of the 115 Premier League charges against them.

No punishment has been announced, but the possibility of City losing honours won during the period has raised a question: who could receive those trophies instead?

We've looked at the teams that could become retrospective trophy winners should City's titles be stripped and reassigned.

2011 FA Cup - Stoke City

Stoke City were the runners-up when Manchester City ended their trophy drought with FA Cup success in 2011.

Yaya Toure scored the decisive goal in a 1-0 win at Wembley, ushering in a trophy-laden era for City. Former Stoke manager Tony Pulis this week said he feels 'cheated' afterthe news broke of a guilty verdict.

“When do we get our FA Cup?” Pulis wrote in a column for theBBC. “That is what all Stoke fans have been asking me since the news broke on Friday. I thought exactly the same.

“I don’t expect Manchester city to offer back the 2011 FA Cup and the winners’ medals their players received. I don’t seriously believe any other trophies and titles will be handed back over either. A points deduction and a massive fine feels far more likely.

“But I still feel cheated. We won’t ever get that day back and the chance to celebrate around Stoke-on-Trent with the cup and medals we so honestly fought for. After breaking the rules, Manchester City got to do that instead. While the process is far from over because City are expected to appeal, I have to say this verdict and the whole situation has left a very sour taste in my mouth.”

2012 Premier League title - Manchester United

Manchester City snatched the Premier League title fromManchester United in dramatic fashion during the 2011/12 season, as Sergio Aguero's stoppage-time goal sealed a 3-2 win over QPR. Aguero's golden goal saw City win the title on goal difference in the final seconds of the season.

2014 League Cup - Sunderland

Manchester City secured League Cup success under Manuel Pellegrini during the 2013/14 season. A 3-1 win overSunderland featured a glorious goal from Yaya Toure, with further goals from Samir Nasri and Jesus Navas.

Sunderland have not won a major trophy since the 1973 FA Cup.

2014 Premier League title - Liverpool

City came out on top in one of the Premier League's most memorable title races in 2013/14.

Steven Gerrard's unfortunate slip against Chelsea was the defining image of the title race, and denied theLiverpool captain an elusive Premier League title.

2016 League Cup - Liverpool

Liverpool were the losers again during the 2016 League Cup final, as City sealed shootout success at Wembley.

Willy Caballero was the hero for the Cityzens, making saves from Lucas Leiva, Adam Lallana and Philippe Coutinho. City's win denied Jurgen Klopp a first trophy as Liverpool manager.

2018 League Cup - Arsenal

Manchester City swept to League Cup success again in 2018 with a resounding win overArsenal.

Sergio Aguero opened the scoring in the first half, before Vincent Kompany and David Silva goals saw City run out 3-0 winners.

2018 Premier League title - Manchester United

There was no catching Manchester City in the 2017/18 title race, as Pep Guardiola's side became the first English team to secure 100 points in a top-flight season.

Manchester United were distant runners-up, a feat Jose Mourinho called one of his greatest achievements. In 2024, Mourinho suggested he could retrospectively claim the title should City be sanctioned.

"As you know, we won the Europa League [in 2017] and we finished second in the Premier League [in 2018],"he said.

"I think we still have a chance to win that league because maybe they punish Man City with points and maybe we win that league and then they have to pay me the bonus and give me the medal."
