Leeds United are reportedly pursuing the signature of exciting Liverpool youngster, Mateusz Musiałowski, as Daniel Farke looks to add to his side's attacking options.
According to Football Insider's Pete O'Rourke, Daniel Farke's Leeds United side have been keeping tabs on Poland Under-21 international Musialowski.
Musialowski joined Liverpool from Polish side UKS SMS Lodz in August 2021 and has worked his way through Liverpool’s youth set-up. His contract is set to expire in June and several clubs have already expressed an interest in signing him, with Leeds United firmly among them.
Championship after 28 league games. They are looking to chase down Leicester City, Southampton and Ipswich Town ahead of them.
Leeds have been impressive in their attacking output, scoring 50 goals in the Championship so far this season. Three players have hit double figures for goals, Crysencio Summerville, Joel Piroe and Dan James all scoring 10 or more times so far.
The Yorkshire side are looking to add to their squad as they continue their promotion push and have already had a number of players linked with moves to Elland Road.
Mateusz Musiałowski is in his third season in the Liverpool youth setup and is yet to make his senior debut in football.
20-year-old Musialowski is a versatile attacker and can play anywhere across the front line and could be a useful option for Leeds United going forward.
The Polish attacker has made 80 appearances in total for Liverpool’s youth sides, scoring 30 goals and providing six assists.
He has played the majority of matches on the left wing, scoring 10 times from 25 appearances in that position, but has also shown his goalscoring abilities across the front line.
Musialowski has been impressive for the U23 side this season, where he has managed six goals and two assists in 11 games so far.
Musialowski has also been capped by Poland at Under-21 level, scoring once in five appearances and the young attacker has a promising career ahead of him.
Despite Musiałowski not yet playing senior football in his career, he has notched up impressive statistics at youth level for Liverpool, particularly in front of goal.
The Polishman's versatility in attack makes him an attractive option for potential suitors and Leeds will be hoping to add him to their already exciting attack.
Leeds may also be looking to bolster their attacking options as a precautionary measure, following interest in a number of their players, including Willy Gnonto and Crysencio Summerville.
Gnonto has had interest in him from a number of clubs, with Italian news outlet Corriere dello Sport (21/1; page 18) reporting that Lazio have reignited their interest in the winger.
Leeds fans will have to be patient with Musiałowski due to his lack of senior experience, however the early signs are promising and he could be an exciting addition for the future.
