Wolves are braced for an expected summer clear-out, yet only the fan favourite Doherty is due to be out of contract at the end of the season. The club are set to be in the Championship next season.

As reported by ExpressAndStar.com, Rob Edwards added Angel Gomes and Adam Armstrong in the window, while Jorgen Strand Larsen left for £43m to Crystal Palace. Edwards now knows the group he will work with for the run-in.

Doherty's deal expires at the end of the campaign, leaving Wolves with a decision to make. The seasoned campaigner could be kept around to help a push for an immediate return.

Jose Sa's contract runs to 2027, with an option of another year, and there is a possibility he could move on this summer after interest in the number one. Back-up goalkeeper Dan Bentley is also signed until 2027, and the club hold an option to extend.

Further out, several deals are up in 2028, including Jean-Ricner Bellegarde, Hwang Hee-chan, Santi Bueno, Hugo Bueno, Sam Johnstone and Nathan Fraser. It is highly likely the majority of them will not be around by then.
